1939-1940 New York World's Fair Large, white, ceramic serving plater with an art deco design of the Trylon and Perisphere in center in reddish orange and gray and the words, "New York World's Fair 1939". Edge is designed with two wing like handles on either side painted red and a blue rim. Two stamps on the back: Gold stamp reads "Joint Exhibit of Capital and Labor The American Potter- New York World's Fair 1939". Black makers stamp that reads "Semi Vitreous Edwin M. Knowles China Co. Made in USA" Size: 11 3/4" handle to handle. Condition: Extremely Fine, a couple of light scratches in the center and a small white spot (looks like paint) on the blue rim.
