1907 Jamestown Exposition
Unused Postcard "First American", "Events of Hampton Roads", "ME for the Jamestown Exposition 1907.", "1607 Old Church at Jamestown, VA. 1907." "Mfg. for Paul G. Blanford, Portsmouth, VA." The postcard pictures an Indian ("First American") on the left. The outline of a tomahawk goes through the center to the right with separate color drawings on the handle: first landing on U.S. soil and the Monitor and Merrimac battle ("Events of Hampton Roads"). On the head of the tomahawk, at the top is a battle ship ("ME for the Jamestown Exposition 1907") and the bottom is the ruins of the tower of the Old Church ("1607 Old Church at Jamestown, VA. 1907.") "Thomas .A. Bramberry, Patentee.", "Balto. Badge & Novelty Co. Litho." Size: 5 1/4" wide by 3 3/16" high. Condition: Very Fine with a thumbtack hole in the bottom center.
