1939-1940 New York World's Fair Amusement Device in the shape of a deco railroad engine. On the side is "New York World's Fair 1939". There is a wire on the top that is similar to the wire that connects a street car to the power lines. There is a hole in the top. According to the patent write up (patent number 1503548) something placed into the hole will turn when the screw on the front is turned. That is what makes it an amusement device. I have not seen this before. Size: 5 3/4" long by 1 7/8" deep by 2 5/8" to the top of the highest wire. Condition: Good. The Trylon is missing from the top front and there was probably a Perisphere that went in the hole and turned when the knob was turned. There is a little paint loss and some wear.
