1876 Centennial Exposition Silver Colored Medal. Obverse: In the center are 5 allegorical figures of women. The center one is holding a wreath in each hand. Above is "International Exhibition". At bottom is "Philadelphia 1876" with tiny writing above "H. Orlik Inv." and "F. Schmahlfeld Fec" and below "V. Christesen." Reverse: Pictures a bust of Washington in the center with a cherub on either side and an eagle below. At top is "MDCCLXXVI." and around the bottom "First in war, First in peace, First in the hearts of his countrymen." Nice high relief. Size: 2 1/16" diameter by 1/8" thick. Condition: Excellent, very slight toning.
