1904 St. Louis World's Fair Badge "Celebrating the Louisiana Purchase Centennial" with a seal on the bottom with "World's Fair", "1904 St. Louis" along with 2 hemispheres in it. At the top is a multicolor Celluloid Button with 5 point Star of Progress. The points of the star are gold and each contains a picture "Jefferson", "Napoleon", "USA" flag, "Spain" flag & "France" flag. The center has a map of North America with the Louisiana Purchase area highlighted. Around the center is written "1803. St. Louis World's Fair 1903. The Star of Progress is in the West." The back of the button has a paper insert that reads "A. Hannerty idea, Registered by Murillo Studio St. Louis, 1901." and on the back of the ribbon is a sticker for "Whitehead & Hoag" the ribbon and button maker. Size: 2 3/8" wide by 7" long. Condition: Extremely Fine, some soiling at the ribbon bottom and a few light bumps in the button.
