1893 World's Columbian Exposition
Columbus / Administration Building - Aluminum, 34mm
Here's a nice example of a World's Columbian Expo medal with a clean shaven Columbus in his soft cap facing slightly right in a circled center, with text reading Christopher Columbus 1492 - 1892. The reverse has a crisply struck image of the Administration building. When magnified the surfaces show evidence of cleaning, but this medal will be worth acquiring for its R-6 rarity. Listed as Eglit 430, Starlust ST-eg-430, HK-227, and Shevlin SH 6-135. We give it a grade of Uncirculated, details. Provenance - Steve Starlust Collection.
