1889 Paris Universal Exposition Round Leather Box that was made to hold a medal. The inside of the lid, printed in gold on a purple cloth, is "Souvenir De l'Exposition Universelle", "Gorham Mfg. Co. Silversmiths, New York, U.S.A.", "Paris, 1889". This box was made to hold a medal, but the medal is not included. Rare, boxes are always rarer than the medals. Size: 2" diameter by 3/4" high. Condition: Extremely Fine, a little wear on the box and the writing inside the lid.
