1933-34 Chicago World's Fair Lamp in the shape of the "Travel and Trans. Bldg." with "World's Fair Chicago 1933-1934" in raised letters on the right hand side near the bottom. This lamp is the front of the building made in a semicircle. Behind it is a treaded hole for the light socket to be screwed into. There is a red piece of cloth attached to the back of the building to diffuse the light from the bulb. (Rossen pg 38) Size: 8 1/2" wide by 3 3/4" deep to the end of the light socket by 6 5/8" tall. Condition: Excellent, although the wire is frayed in a couple of spots. It is all original.
