1939-1940 New York World's Fair Children's Book - "Sending a Message", part of "The World of Tomorrow Stories". "Copyright, 1939, by New York World's Fair 1939, Inc." The subtitle is "A social studies story book about Communication". This 32 page story tells about Danny's visit to the fair and how they used communication technology to send a telegram, post cards and visited the radio and television exhibit. Most of the second half of the story is about a movie about animals that Danny saw at the fair. At the end Danny and his family discuss all the methods of communications that are available to people but not the animals in the movie. The book is filled with color pictures and black and white pictures. Read this book to your child and start them early on the road to collecting World's Fair. Size: 6 1/8" wide by 8 1/4" high. Condition: Extremely Fine with light edge wear and light soiling and aging of the pages.
