1893 World's Columbian Exposition Chicago Day - Aluminum, 38mm Columbia stands majestically among American flags, a proud eagle, and a partial background of stars. The reverse displays the city seal flanked by a Native American with his bow and arrow drawn, and a full sailed caravel at sea.. Clouds above comfort a sleeping baby with the date of October 9th proclaiming Columbus Day. The medal has soft, smooth, semi reflective fields and sharp details. Listed as Eglit 153, Starlust ST-eg-153, HK-168, and Shevlin SH 6-23. An R-5 which we grade as Uncirculated. Provenance - Steve Starlust Collection.
