1939 Golden Gate International Exposition Envelope for "National Air Mail Week" with a cache of a woman standing in front of the Tower of the Sun with "California Invites you" at top, "Golden Gate International", "1939", "Exposition" and "A Pageant of the Pacific" written in the rings. Below it is "World's Fair on San Francisco Bay". In the center is a purple stamped "Redding, California", "Shasta Dam", "2nd Largest in the World" with the height along with the dam pictured in the center and "National Air Mail Week May 15-21, 1939" at the bottom. There is a 6 cent air mail stamp on the cover postmarked "Redding, Calif.", "May 19". The envelope is addresses and mailed. There is printing on the back too. Size: 9 1/2" wide by 4 1/8" high. Condition: Extremely Fine, the purple stamp in the center is light, no doubt as made.
