1964 New York World's Fair
Large Bronze Medal in the Original Box. On the front it says "The 300th Anniversary of the Founding of the city of New York 1664-1964". Crest shows an eagle, Indian and Pioneer and says "SIGILLUM-CIVITATIS-NOVI-EBORACI". Back says "Man's Achievements in an Expanding Universe, New York World's Fair 1964-65" and shows the Unisphere with North and South America. On the edge is written "© 1961 New York World's Fair 1964-1965 Corporation", "Unisphere presented by United States Steel" and in tiny letters "Medallic Art Co. N.Y. Bronze". The box is white and marked under the top "Medallic Art Co.", "New York". Size: 2 3/4" diameter, 1/8" thick at edge. Condition: Medal is Near Mint. Box is Excellent with slight darkening.
