1893 World's Columbian Exposition Badge with an Aluminum Medal hanging from a red, white and blue ribbon that is attached to a brass shell top. The top pictures an American Shield with stars in the corners. The medal has the bust of "Christopher Columbus" in the center with "1492" below the bust. The back of the medal is a scene of Columbus and crew standing on the American soil. Around the edge is "400th Anniversary of the Discovery of America", "Oct - 12 - 1892". Size: Medal is 1 1/2" diameter with overall height of 3 1/4". Condition: Extremely Fine, the ribbon is a little soiled and a little darkening on the right side of the obverse.
