1893 World's Columbian Exposition
Sterling Silver Badge, Eglit # 544. The bottom portion pictures Two small globes within curved bands at top and bottom. Inscription on top band "World's Fair" and on the bottom band "June 10, 1893". Superimposed between the two globes a shield on which is stamped the monograph of 3 letters 'T', 'P' & 'A'. At top are two eyelet attachments by rings to a pinback bar at top. The back is marked "Mermod and Jaccard Jewelry Co. Sterling Silver". The top bar is blank. This day was Traveler's Protective Association day at the fair. Size: 1 1/8" wide by 1 3/8" high. Condition: Excellent with tarnish.
