1893 World's Columbian Exposition Badge with Aluminum Medal, H&K 166, Eglit #21. The badge has a brass bar at the top with an American shield in the middle and "Souvenir" written across it. There is a red, white and blue ribbon hanging from the middle of the top bar. The medal below hangs from 2 small chains. The medal's Obverse: Pictures the Administration Building. Around the outside "Souvenir Birdseye view of the World's Fair Chicago", "1893" (it is not a Birdseye view). Marked in small letters the maker "Blumenfield P.O.C." Reverse: Pictures the Landing of Columbus 1492 and has "Souvenir of the Opening of the World's Fair Chicago 1893" around the edge. Size: The medal is 1 9/16" diameter. the top is 1 1/2" wide and the overall height is 3 1/8" Condition: Extremely Fine with a little toning of the medal and the ribbon is soiled.
