Lot 74 condition has been modified.
1939-1940 New York World's Fair Bronze Trylon and Perisphere standing on a bronze circle. One side of the Perisphere is hollowed out with a green leather backing inside. The base is marked "1939 W.F.". The bottom of the round base has four threaded holes that must have been used to attach this to something (or to be able to attach it to something). I am not sure what this was supposed to be exactly, possibly an antenna or maybe the Perisphere was supposed to hold something like a clock. Either way, I have never seen it before and it makes an attractive T&P to have on the shelf. I have included 4 threaded bolts that fit into the holes in case the buyer wants to attach it to something. Size: Base is 6 1/2" diameter. The overall height is 10". Condition: Extremely Fine, it could use a good polishing.
