1933-34 Chicago World's Fair Presentation Medal in the original box. This is the Large version of the Official Commemorative World's Fair Bronze Medal with etched writing on the back. The etching that is above the aerial fairgrounds view on the reverse reads "W. A. Grimes In Appreciation From the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. 1933". Obverse: A Man in high relief and "Industry", "Research", "1833" & "1933" on it. Reverse: Aerial view of fairgrounds and around the edge "1933 A Century of Progress International Exposition Chicago". Around the 'N' direction arrow above the fairgrounds is the etching described above. "Zeitler" is in small letters near the edge. This is the first one of these etched on the back medals I have seen. (I previously sold one with etching on the edge.) Size: Medal is 2 3/4" diameter by 1/8"+ thick. Box is 3 7/8" square. Condition: The medal is Near Mint. The box is Fine since the top and bottom are separated.
