1935 Brussels International Exposition
Bronze Award Medal. Obverse: Pictures 4 nude & semi-nude winged woman flying above the fair buildings. Next to each figure is: "Ingenium" (Genius), "Ars" (art), "Intellectus" (understanding) and "industria" (industry). At the bottom is "Exposition Universle et Internationale" on the left with "1935" in the center and "Algemeene Wereld Tentoonstelling" (General World Exhibition). Reverse: A single winged nude holding a wreath with "Scientive" (scientific), "Labori" (to work) and "Artibus" (the arts) above. At the bottom is a space where a name could be engraved, so this must be an award medal. Size: 3 1/8" wide by 2 5/8" high by 1/8" thick. Condition: Excellent with a little toning.
